Local Infant Feeding Support

Calderdale Breastfeeding Peer Support Service

Calderdale Breastfeeding Peer Support Network is a voluntary team of local women who have breastfed their own children and have undergone special training to be able to help support mums as they breastfeed their own children.

Locala Infant Feeding Service

Offers a variety of support in the home, on the phone, in clinics and small support groups from health visitors, child development practitioners, volunteer breastfeeding peer supporters and lactation consultants. All staff are trained to the Unicef Baby Friendly Initiative standards to support parents with breastfeeding, bottle feeding and weaning.

The Latch Clinic

The Latch Clinic has been set up to offer support If you are struggling to latch your baby for a breastfeed, you are experiencing pain, or wondering if you have enough breast milk. Appointments are face-to-face on a one-to-one in various settings across Calderdale. We have appointments every week from Monday to Friday.

Contact Locala Public Health Early Years Service 0300 304 5076 and leave your name and details. We will phone you back and offer you advice. We will also make you an appointment at The Latch Clinic.
