Pennine GP Alliance has launched a new Same Day Children’s Urgent Care service, providing same-day clinical appointments for children who are unwell and need to be seen quickly.

What the service offers

• Same-day assessment & treatment for symptoms such as coughs, rashes, mild abdominal pain, asthma flares, urinary infections and general unwellness

• Rapid Point of Care Testing to support fast clinical decisions and reduce unnecessary antibiotic use

• A safe, child-friendly environment

Where: Located across various Calderdale Primary Care Networks

When: Monday–Friday, 12pm–6pm

Available: 1 December 2025 – 24 April 2026

How to access: Appointment required through your GP practice

May also be accessed via Calderdale Royal Hospital Emergency Department for relevant cases

This service aims to help families access the right care in the right place, while supporting reduced waiting times in A&E.
