ROKT Foundation has received funding to deliver a 6 weeklong ‘school ready’ programme for young children!

These sessions offer a fun introduction to indoor climbing for young children. Tailored specifically for ages 3–4-year-olds, this programme combines fun games and climbing activities to nurture early skills and confidence in a supportive environment.

Starting in September, every Monday from 11.30am-12.30pm these 60-minute sessions are led by qualified instructors and are designed to engage children while fostering coordination and social skills. This will be followed by a light lunch.

What to Expect

During the session, children will engage in a variety of game-based activities designed to introduce them to climbing in a fun and engaging way. This will include bouldering, roped climbing, harness swinging and caving. The focus is on creating a positive and enjoyable experience while introducing basic climbing movements and techniques. Instructors guide the children through activities that build their physical skills and confidence while fostering social interactions with their peers. Children will also have the chance to experience our sensory space, exploring sound, shapes
and colours and try boccia, bowls too. All topped off with a healthy lunch!
