The National Breastfeeding Helpline offers friendly, non-judgemental, independent, evidence based breastfeeding support and information to anyone in the UK who needs it. The helpline is provided by the Breastfeeding Network and the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers.
It can take a while to feel confident about breastfeeding, but you're not alone. Your midwife and health visitor are there to help, guide and support you. There's also lots of advice available online or via support groups, helplines and websites.
We know mums have the legal right to breastfeed anywhere (2010 Equality Act). Though, many do not feel confident doing it in public. Our award scheme aims to make things easier. It will help you find where you will be welcomed when out and about in Calderdale.
